Play it or don't. I report, you decide.
The game has a feeling that you what to expect in the general scale of things, the fighting system, the characters, the towns, etc... It's the little things you notice that make each game different. Like, the way Haseo yells "Regeki!" or any of his spells, the way the grunties' voices changed or the increase on the affection gauge from the previous highest being pink to... Well, I haven't gotten that far yet.
As I play on, I almost wish the game could keep going on and on. New worlds, new characters, new everything. But, I suppose I'll have to wait for the next .hack// franchise.
In summation, the game is good. It's all the things you like about the first two games, just pushing it out a little more with new areas, new skills and so on. If you're a fan of .hack// or just a fan of Action RPGs at all, Heck, even if you haven't played the first two games, you'll find something to enjoy in Vol. 3.
