Well There have been many James Bond Movies. Also there have been many games. So has Nightfire got what it takes to take on the other Bond games such as: Everything or Nothing and Rogue Agent. Well lets find out in my review. The story is a typical Bond one. World is in trouble, you’re the only man, near death, get some girls, save the world, shaken not stirred all the typical traits of a Bond story. Though I will tell you the story. There is a man which has aroused suspicion of MI5 and its your job to see what he’s up to. The man is called Raphael Drake. He is a multi millionaire with girls at his side definitely a crook type. Though everything goes wrong the guy who knows all about Drakes plan is assassinated and its up to you to work out what Drake is up to. Well the style of this game is First person shooter. You have lots of extra things to achieve and acquire in Nightfire. First of all in-game play. There are many routes and methods you can take to a level. You can take the stealthy approach which is the best way for racking up a few points, but bad when you like the more aggressive approach. Although, if you do go in all guns blazing, you can, rack up a fair few points, so the choice is yours. Also after the level you get an overall score this score is based upon many things like: accuracy, how much health you have left, enemies killed and so on and so forth. The awards are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You get bronze, silver and gold replaying the missions although you get platinum’s by replaying the level and getting Bond Tokens and being timed, thus, the longer you take, the less points you get. Also after each level you will be awarded special add-ons to the multiplayer mode (see later). So depending on what award you get you’ll acquire more or less extras. The graphics for this game are quite decent. The moves are slick no stopping and clunky movements. The guns on this game are in vast array you get the standard pistols to the more better ones like shotguns etc. As ever though Bond is always equipped with high-tech gadgets. These include: a pair of stunner keys, laser watch which is handy for hinges and many other nifty gadgets all with there own clever disguises to make them look like ordinary things. The surroundings go from jungles to freezing mountains each one with there own unique style. The sound, obviously because it’s a Bond game has been taken from the film and worked into the game. The voice of Pierce Brosnan is Bond but that is all, which is very disappointing but its only minor thing. Gunshots and explosions are of good quality, you can certainly hear them, and sound, is very important in a game and with the famous Bond music established in the game makes it all the better Multiplayer… is the best thing that the gaming industry thought of. But, on Nightfire it is one of the best I’ve seen , it goes definitely goes in the top 5 of the greats. The vast array of options, not just death matches but other things, new invented stuff. Also the changing of characters skills is excellent as the opponent can take to different styles, like a go for the weak, and kill the one who killed them last. Finally with all those different surroundings, characters and weapon preferences all this makes an excellent multiplayer.
So overall, Nightfire is worthy of a place in the hall of fame of Bond games. In my opinion it should be at he top. With one of the best multiplayer around, a true Bond story, babes, graphics and Bond sound it is a very good creation of the Bond FPS genre.
