This game is definitly one to rent first, the split screen is good at parties, but trust me, rent it first.

This game is almost like an updated version of the n64 goldeneye. Having spent endless hours playing Goldeneye over summers past, i realized when playing this game that there was something similar about the way it was all presented. The mood of the game was very similar, mabey that was it, but the problem is that this isn't a groundbreaking classic on an outdated yet classic system, so it dosen't have that liscense for linear levels with simple weapons and bad storyline. Considering it is on the wii, it is pretty good. It does have a pretty good cover system, similar to that of Gears of War 2. Its no COD 5, but its OKAY. The split screen is surprisingly fun, for almost the same reason the campaign is mediocre: the weapons are not balanced. For example, there is a "good guy" shot gun, and a "bad guy" shot gun. They are both 2 hit kills, and are impossible to use efficiently, seeing as the pump motion takes a looonnnnnggg time. The submachine guns however, are around 10 hit kills, and shoot incredibly fast. Each "team" (good guys and bad guys) has an assult rifle, a sniper, a shot gun, and an eccentric different gun. The classes are almost exactly the same on each "team", but only one or two of the guns are useable. The missions in the campaign are linear, but the cover system makes this game good enough to warrent replaying perfectly linear missions.
