Having played SSX 3 and totally rocked by it, I was looking forward to the next snowboarding game for the Gamecube. I bought 1080 Avalanche on it's day of release, and received a different experience to what I was expecting. The game has a great sense of speed, and the music is excellent, but the controls are too much work to enjoy the game to it's fullest. Not only that, but the courses don't flow as well as I'd like. It all depends on what you want to get out of the game, and I imagine most snowboarding-game fans will enjoy it. However, it's not going to be anyone's favourite game of all time.
