I remember playing the N64 version and actually enjoying it very much. This nice thing about the game was that there was no real competition and the closest experience one could find would be with the Tony Hawk series. This version contains most of the elements that the N64 version had, but with better graphics and sound and added features that only help transfer it to another system.

Most gamers would have some fun with this game, but the level of competition in development has been created. The SSX series delivers where this game does not. There are a lot of good things about this game. Boarding down a mountain with an avalanche behind you is exciting, but the lasting appeal wears off quickly. Considering that the developers took so long to put this out, it only shows that they can't really compete with the SSX series, who has identified themselves as the stronger of the two.

This is good for a rental to get the feel and rush, but not one to own.
