I played the Arcade version and owned the NES version beat both as matter of fact I got so good at it at home I beat it and rolled the score board later that week I had my mom drive me to the Arcade and I beat it with one quarter. Loved the original. Spent many of hours perfecting dodging bullets and planes I still remember the feeling when I got to the last stage and beat the game, wow. This is nothing like it. The levels are short I mean real short it is hardly a challenge. Dont buy this you will be disappointed. SSHD is as much better. Also I was surprised it doesnt support trophies. Playin in co-op may make this a bit better though not much as I already stated the levels are really short. Other than really short levels the game is nicely done from the planes to chose from to a standard array of weapons.
