Not the same 1942 you remember

This game is not a remake like I thought it was going to be. Its totally different besides the over the top view. You have co-op for one, plus dual special moves when playing with a friend. The weapons are a bit outlandish seeing as you can get a laser gun...which we still dont have today let alone 1942.


Graphics = Great, I love the updated look of it all. The water, the levels, the explosions all look 20x better than the original.

Controls = Easy to learn, very simple button scheme.

Difficulty = Hard at times, even on easy the boss fights can sometimes be tough.

Value = If youre lookin for a prettier version of the classic game you wont find it here. This is its own game, the levels are shorter and the weapons are different. The basic over the top camera with planes is the only similarities.

Replayability = This game is fun alone but its better with a friend, you might want to play through a couple times with yourself, but with a friend its that much better.

Fun Factor = If youre into this genre its worth checking out, the co-op is where it shines though.

Overall value = For $10 its worth a couple hours of entertainment.
