Its a short game with a lot of fun with a friend if you enjoyed the original.

So being as this is my first review of a game I will try to be short and to the point. If you are reading this you are curious about the game play. If you have never played the old 1942 just think of galaga on steroids. The game just like galaga and the old 1942 has you the player as a ship that can fly around the screen. All areas of the screen are accessible. Throughout the game the goal is the reach the end of the level after fighting hordes of smaller ships to get to the gigantic boss. The bosses are fairly tough but if you can button mash any player should be fine. The best thing about this game is the fun you can have with another player. I never tested the online play but the local two player was awesome. There are things called joint attacks that when used between the players can cause some devastating damage. There are only five levels which I wish there would have been more but the difficulty factor makes up for it being that there is five difficulties and past the third one you better be one good player or you are gonna die real quick. Overall its a bit to much money for this short lived game but if you enjoyed the old one and you have a friend to play with you are in for a good time and the replay value is outstanding.
