FIFA is the second best soccer gaming franchise and 2002 World Cup is a porud member of that family. The game plays like any other FIFA, that is to say, it plays fine. The learning curve for the higher difficulties is fairly steep for a new player but fans of the game will have no problem slipping right into it. The graphics are on fine. No major problems and no major revolutions. The audio gets very old very quick with a lot of repeats in the commentary and the same few songs over and over in the background. The main knock on this game is that is is the World Cup. That's all it is, no season no nothing, just a few World Cup matches and you're done. You are better off picking up 2003 or 2004 and having some replay value and a few more options.
