This years FIFA world cup is a lot of fun. They made the game play more arcade like with faster players and the controls are a little easier for those who aren't used to FIFA games. The qualifying series is pretty awesome you can take your nation of choice all the way through the "friendly" games up to the elimination, and then world cup. They also have older games where you play in a situation like game play, such as being up 5 and having to score 5 more goals etc. The difficulty is competitive and they also have easier levels for beginners. I haven't played online yet, but I imagine it's going to be great for any FIFA game soccer fan.
