A Space for the Unbound is a game with an old school look "pixel sprite look". It's what I imagine games on the Super Nintendo to have looked like. In reality, it's texture resolution and other details mean that it wouldn't have been able to run on hardware back then of course. It's a good looking game.
It tells the story of a group of teenagers around the time of their high school graduation. Unsurprisingly, it deals with themes of finding your own identity, fitting in, self image, bullying and so on. It is extremely well written and the way the story is presented makes this game shine and worth playing.
The gameplay itself is not much to write home about. You mainly walk around a charming Indonesian town talking to people, inspecting or picking up objects as you learn more about the world of the game. There are occassional logic puzzle or action sequences that take some gameplay elements from other well known titles in various genres. This is not terribly complex but never gets stale thanks to the games' relatively short run time of just a bit more than 10 hours for me.
