It's great to find well produced games for so little this generation, especially when putting them against $60 titles, that sometimes are not worth the plastic the disc costs. So or $2, you get a simple but very enjoyable space shooter, and this is exactly where the name of the game hit's the spot. It's a short series of missions that you can tackle in any order, but they show the difficulty level for each of them. There are frequent checkpoints, so it's easy to start from a point not too far from where you died, but even so this game can present a big challenge due to ship physics.

There's a level up system in place, and it's crucial in order to progress to harder stages, so shooting and collecting the gems it's essential in order to go further. It's a fun and interesting formula, since it forces you to replay level, grind some wealth and upgrade your ship. The levels and enemies are pretty generic and they will be repeating a lot, and this is a few of my problems with this game, every level feels just like the one before, with a different pre-set of enemy patterns. And stage bosses can be a pain in the behind to defeat if you don't manage your ship properly.

In essence, this game has a cheese and silly story with pretentious humor and it's pretty juvenile and the game doesn't really need a story to start. But you can tell that the developers gave this title some love, it is fun and will keep shooter fans entertained for a while, that's all you should expect from this game, and it delivers.
