"First off, before we go too much further, let me just put it bluntly and say I love ABZU, I do. From a visual and musical standpoint, ABZU is a phenomenon and a truly wonderful experience that I think everyone should experience. I feel that my existence has been enriched with the existence of this title. But, it’s definitely not without several caveats.. first and foremost being that it’s not actually a game. Not in the strictest sense of the term, anyways.
No matter what you do, you can’t be killed, destroyed, vaporized, or stopped in any way. Which is actually a detriment to the game and takes away some of the tension, like when you’re going through the mine field of Duracel pyramids.. Knowing that you can’t die, the only reason you even have to try and dodge them is that they slow you down a little and if you’re like me you just want to see more of what this beautiful looking, and sounding, experience has to offer."
A marvel and a fantastic experience that I can absolutely recommend based on that aspect alone. but as an actual video game, ABZU is left sorely lacking in almost every area. Still, it is a wonder and a must-experience spectacle.. Even if it's only about an hour and 10 minutes long.
