I never really took notice of the Ace Combat series until i got my PS2 and this one plays on a completely different level compared to the previous flight games i've played. The controls aren't that hard to adapt to because they have presets for novice and expert(i went with expert of courese). Graphicswise it' s really good, all the terrain and detail of the planes were just amazing. The music they had fit each level really well and the music they had for the last level was just perfect with the fallign meteors and all. But one thing i couldn't get is the little cutscenes that were comics with a man narrarating the life of this boy during the war. I just felt there should've been a more relative story to the role you play in the fight. Besides that the game is good and if you love planes then i suggest you try it.
