One's more Namco has released a fine arcade combat flying simulator. But what makes this game so special that fans from Ace Combat 4 should buy this game. First of all, and most striking, it's superb, high quality graphics. All old planes from AC4 and all the new ones are very well designed, many details, and most of all sharp photo realistic textures. Also the world maps have improved, high res textures, mip mapping, less texture flickering, and quite a lot of details on the ground, bushes, trees, houses, quite a lot, especially if you compare it with AC4. The Sound, very important if you want a good atmosphere, and here we have a good quality sound with the old good orchestral music, but no real new invention or experiments, that's good but also bad if you already got used to it in AC4. All in all AC5 is much better then AC4 in many ways, too bad that the story and most of all the way the story is told ain't so good you might expect. The style and coolness from AC4 are gone and now typical mid quality CGi are telling a not that surprising story which tries to be as breath taking as a Meta Gear plot.
