Disappointed
On the very first mission, I was overwhelmed with the environments, combat, detail, controls, etc. and believed this was going to be another great title! Then came the first cinematic event that I couldn't control no matter how well I engaged the enemy fighter. I couldn't shoot down or damage the enemy air craft. I couldn't even do much of anything besides control the movement of the camera. Once I completed the random moment to where something blows up in a spectacular event, I was then able to shoot down the enemy air craft.
Thus far, the story doesn't really go into detail as much as it did in the previous titles. It seems as if it was made quickly and without much regard to how the previous titles were made.
The music is engaging, like it always has been.
In my opinion, NAMCO did not stick with what they have always been known for and went down a path to keep up with competition from other game titles that focus on the current events. I believe they should have stuck with the original Ace Combat world and stayed away from a realistic view.
