Superb aerial combat experience packed in an engaging action-packed campaign. Impressive!

Though I've not played a lot of aerial combat games, and neither is a fan of this genre, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception first engages me with its intuitive tutorial and easy-to-follow learning curve, then drops me straight into a scenario which would make Top GUn seems like child's play.

Not only is the aerial combat impressive, the display of aerial mechanics is so truly impressive that it feels like an actual simulation for would-be pilots. You can feel the adrenaline rush of the dogfights, the target bombings and especially the dodging. Of course, get a good pair of earphones for an even better realism.

Though it spots a relatively short campaign, Ace Combat X makes replays enjoyable with tempting unlockables. There are dozens of exciting jet models and parts for fun customizing, and all these makes you want to engage in the missions again just to try out the new gadgets.

In other words, Ace Combat X features the coolest adaptation and simulation of a fighter jet pilot's life without facing real danger. Two thumbs up!
