This game really amazed me. I never thought that a strategy game this deep could be made for the GBA. From the moment you start it this game just breathes quality. The campaign mode starts out with a tutorial, which explains the game to you in about five minutes. Any new options will be explained to you at the beginning of the mission in which it becomes available. This tutorial works very well and will get you going quickly. nice! The game play is very simple and yet very deep. It is easy to asses any situation just by looking at the map and/or selecting any of the units. All the important information is right at your fingertips. The depth comes from the different CO's which all have their own strengths en weaknesses. These are quite noticeable during the game and will force you to adapt your tactics to the CO you are using and the CO you are playing against. There is also a large amount of different units available which range from air units, to land units to naval units. None of the units is clearly the best and just about every unit has some use. Mixing your army up and making sure the right unit is in the right place is important if you want to achieve victory. The campaign mode starts out quite easy, but the difficulty quickly builds up. The AI plays quite well and will often start out with a tactical advantage. So you will have to work hard and plan ahead if you want to beat this game. Sometimes you might feel these missions to be somewhat unfair, but they are all doable. The disadvantage you start out with will only make you feel better once you complete the mission. In addition to the campaign there is also the possibility to play stand-alone skirmishes in the war room. These can be quite difficult as well and offer an ongoing challenge. Since you can collect money here to buy some of the CO's or more maps to play on, this option will also keep you playing for quite some time. All things considered this game is an absolute pearl in the GBA collection and every strategy lover should get a copy and play it. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed
