Good game but flawed. for the true fanboys.

How should I start? This is a good game no doubt about it. But it does have its flaws.

On paper the idea of advance wars is insane. But in the game it works. The learning curve is easy you just have to play through the first couple of tutorial levels and the game makes sense. Even I, completely new to the series was quick to pick up the game play with ease. It has the basic RTS elements in it. Raise an army, attack, defended; manage your resource which is very easy. I must admit the fuel and ammo running out added fun to the game.

The sound in the game is decent. Not by any means great. I kept the sound off anyway. No V.O. though. I would like to have known what Storm and Hawke sounded like.

The visuals are average for a gameboy game.

There are faults other than the sound and visuals. The game becomes very hard later on. Sometimes so much I wanted to throw my gameboy against the wall. The characters are almost always the same for each country. The one more about movement and infantry [Sami]. The all around one [Andy]. And the all out attack [max].

There are better games out there but its worth picking up if you’re a RTS junkie or a fan boy of the series.
