Stellar TBS for the GBA. No BS.
Now, if you don't like or suck at Turn-Based Strategies, don't bother. This game gets difficult very quickly. This is because the games starts with a very basic tutorial, which may bore most people. Then, you get your first mission, and you're like, OK,. now it's getting fun. But then, things go way iup (or down) into Super Don't-Make-A-Wrong-Move land, and you start losing all your troops. But if you can take this, you're in for a fun ride. There are 3 types of units. Land, Air, and Sea. You start with Land, and progress. There are three main characters, called Cos (commanding officers) that you advise (or pretty much tell them what to do) on troop movement. Each unit has distinct defensive, offensive, movement, and visual range capabilities. That's where the strategy kicks in. There are tons of additional tactical factors that I won't go into too much, such as base capturing, long-range attacks, Fog of War (knew that was coming, didn't you), and production costs. Typical GBA graphics. Typical GBA music. But very good replay. That is, if you have friends who also own this game and enjoy it and you have a link between you. In the end, this is a fun, fun game, especially since it's for a portable. Thought Tactics Advance was addictive? Try this. You won't regret it. Unless of course someone steals it soon after. But that's a whole 'nother matter.
