Realistic but has it's problems!

I think aero elite is the best game SEGA has ever made for the PS2,
I got to the trouble of buying it for the NTSC ps2 (i live in england)
because it wasnt sold for the PAL ps2, It was worth it because I enjoy the game very much and my grandmar can't watch the TV. The gameplay is quite
good and the amout of aircraft you can fly in the game I think is a world record for a flight simulator, the controls are not very responsive (a bit stiff)
not good for pulling high-G maneuvers such as loops and so on, my favourite mode in the game is the random scramble mode which you pre-set a aircraft
and missiles and guns for it and wait on the menu screens , any time any you wil hear a buzzer alarm and the option to accept the mission or to
cancel it, you get to chose the mission after completing 50 scrambles
you can unlock aircraft by completing certain tasks for the missions.
This game is a sort of game that has Top Gun style missions like training and compititions of skill and so on.

The Aircrafts on this game are particulary enjoyable to fly,
For ground attack the is good Tornado-IDS shortened to TND-IDS
, for dogfighting, the quick and nimble F-16 is highly recomended and good for aero meet compititions, you also have the ability to fly in the
huge US-1 flying boat which can land on warter with it's landing gear retracted and the Kawaski C-1 transport plane which is capable of performing air drops of supplys note that the us-1 and c-1 are not armed.

Over all it is a highly enjoyable game with over 60 diffrent aircraft, but it just dosent last long enough, for the texturing for groung objects like buildings and bridges
there is a need to improve it eg. a building is just a grey cube with black
squares pasted all over it, and also the smaller houses and streets you can land on top of like landing on a perfect airstrip or runway but in real life if you tried to land on the small streets and houses your plane would go boom!

If you are looking for a realistc game with more advanced fighters
like the Lockheed Martin YF-22A Raptor or the F-35 JSF you might
want to try lethal skies 2, but this game is not for rookies to flight sims for the ps2
