A very polished game. Worthy of Microsoft Game Studios.

The other Age of Empires title which I own, is Age of Empires, Gold Edition. Compared to Age of Empires, Gold Edition, the graphics of Age of Empires 3 Gold Edition, is rocket science. The game is very relaxing to play. I played the 'how to play' scenario, and started playing the game at moderate level. I am pretty good at the game. My only issue, is that the game has no story to support it. We increase population, collect resources, expend resources, and destroy our rival colony. I guess, to have a background history, one must have a game which is based on pretty well studied history, like the Hearts of Iron series. The graphics are absolutely superb. Especially how the water bodies are displayed. I have not yet played the War Chief's expansion, having started playing on the 4th of October. I wonder, if the Asian Dynasties is any different from The Age of Empires 3 Gold Edition. I am going to purchase it, and find out. A lot of thought has gone into the making of the AOE 3, Gold Edition. I was wanting to purchase the AOE3, Complete Collection, but it was not available. I would recommend it, because it is one of the best games I have played, and I believe it is one of the best games anyone can play.
