Age of Empires has few faults one can sometimes be its AI, however the scenario editor and the ability to put your own AIs in the game make up for the weak basic AI. The scenario editor includes all the units included in the campaign, you can also find various ways to manipulate those units (through an external program). There are also faults given the date it was released being the graphics (although the game play makes up for it in most part). If looking back at it compared to AoE2 if falls short on true customization of the units and overall scenario developement. However once you have played the game, the memory can last.
