Not bad, but it could be better!
I did find a lot of it repetative or annyoying when fighting the enemy they run and you try to catch them but you can't!!!
It has nice control interface to move your ships or fleet! easy picture to see what is happening around you, with your firing arc, I love getting close and firing grapes into the enemy ship then board them after a few broad sides!!!
Yes this game is old, but they could do a latest ones for example: Old wooden ships of 1500 centry to the modern vessels of today!
