It's impossible to play.

On March 13th, 2012, I went to try this game out for a couple of my friends were playing it. I figured that a f2p game was a nice change from World of Warcraft, which ran on a p2p every month. I went onto the site, http://na.aiononline.com/home to register an account and spent around 20 minutes with a completely broken account creation system. TWENTY MINUTES of "your account needs to have a letter in front" and such. So tell me how a mixture of account names like "BrokenGrawl311" could not be working? LOVELY.
So I went to the NCSoft site and created an account there after downloading the client overnight. The site had about 20 hoops you had to jump through just to get it activated. You had to answer BOTH security questions where the text is censored so that you see only the dots. That's really kind of a pain considering to answer something like "What was your High School" I had to SEE the name of what it was because the name was weird. Take an example like "Chestersland Community High". See? I could have easily left out that s needed in "Chestersland". However, the example is not quite accurate to the real thing since I put a pun over my school name.
After 5 minutes of trying to get that correct and around 20 emails of "someone from [insert IP] has been trying to log in but failed." Even Steam isn't that Naziesque over logging in for crying out loud... Anyway, I finally get my account registered and go to launch Aion, which YES, goes through their own specialized NCSoft launcher that I do NOT want. It took around 5 minutes to launch this slowass game and my computer more than well meets the system specs.
Guess what I got met with when I tried to log in? You guessed it... "This account is invalid".
... WHAT?!?! I just created a stupid account on your NCSoft website and I tried to create an account on your stupid Aion website and it wouldn't let me. Hasn't this game been "f2p" for 3 weeks? Isn't it a little RIDICULOUS that I can't even log in after spending NINE HOURS downloading your stupid game and WASTING time trying to create an account on your broken site to be met with errors?
So considering I couldn't even log in to try this game and play with my friends (who forwarded me with the site link multiple times to make sure I wasn't being phished for an account that didn't exist), I rate this game at a 1... Just because Gamespot won't let me rate it at a 0.

And that's how you let your game FAIL.
