One of the better TG16 games.

Take it way back, way back before it was Sega vs. Nintendo, it was Sega vs. NEC. This was one of the better shmups for NECs TG16, and there were a few... emphasis on few as they never made a whole lot of games for this system. I'd recommend this only to a hard core shmup fan, and then I'd recommend playing the arcade version as it had better graphics.

This was pretty much a straight forward shmup, where you had a ship and it scrolled from left to right and you collected power ups and shot at formations of enemies until the boss at the end of each stage. The power ups were a little unique in that you could use it to block those annoying pea shots the enemies spit at you. And there was a zero gravity stage where not only did you have to dodge those annoying pea shots and dip and duck through mazes of asteroids and other obstacles, you had to contend with your ship floating around out of your control. The trick was to keep spinning your ship round and round to keep it within your control. Good times.

At any rate, I played this game to death. Sure, it was hard but I managed to beat it with one man.
