This was the best flying game for the PSX, in its day it gave the most bang for the buck (bought it as Greatest Hits)
I've not only played this game countless hours, and beaten it on all levels several times. I still find myself going back to it occasionally for a blast from the past. Not many games I can say that about, especially from the PS1. But this game had everything in its day, good graphics, good sound (not great) good handling and a fun missions sequence. I will say that multiplayer, especially on split screens, was a bit of a letdown. It just seemed to lack what is needed to make it feel like your in a real dogfight. I didnt let this bother me though, the number of times I played this with friends can be counted on 1 hand with fingers left over. All the fun for me was in the missions. As far as that goes I think its better than the thin storyline of Ace Combat 4, while not being able to compete with the graphics Ace Combat, in my opinion, was a more complete game than Shattered Skies, which I still loved, it just could have been so much better with not much extra effort.
