Air Combat (1995)

I recommend this game to anyone who likes games involving fighter jets.

In Air Combat you are a fighter pilot and must stop a coup by destroying enemy planes, boats and buildings. On some missions you can hire a wingman for a set fee. You start off with 3 planes to choose from and can buy more later in the game. If one of your planes is destroyed it is gone forever. You earn money for every target you destroy but if you get damaged you lose money. There are 17 missions, not all of which have to be completed and you sometimes get a choice of which mission to do. You can save between missions and can have sveral save files on one memory card block. The AI is okay and the the gameplay is good. The sound is superb and the game is good value. I recommend this game to anyone who like games involving fighter jets.

  Air Combat is a decent jet fighting game for the PS1, and is better than most airborne fighter jet games.
