Thrilling and suspensive game. Loved the story. However, story mode should end in the original game. Not extra DLC.

I loved the story mode. Very thrilling, kept me wanting to play this game. If you're into thrills, this game is fine. Not too scary, just right. Story mode was just right. Took me quite awhile to finish this game on Nightmare difficulty. The story makes good progress along the game, relating one thing to another. However, the gameplay was really standard. One moment, you're in bright daylight. Next, you're alone in a forest at night. One moment you're safely located in a radio station, next you're forced to jump back into a forest. At night. Very expected situations. I really hated the ending though. The game's story should have ended in the story mode itself. Dragging the ending to extra DLC is just pure lame. IMO, DLC should've been about what has happened BEFORE Alan Wake, I.E ( SPOILER ) Thomas Zane and the Lady of Light. The DLC should be what Thomas Zane had done to stop Barbara Jagger and using the Clicker. That would keep gamers more into the game. I didn't like the ending one bit. However, the game's storyline just makes up for it. The cut-scenes had fine graphics and the voice acting was terrific. The gameplay graphics, however, could've been better, and the movements could've been more fluid. Overall, this game is worth a buy.
