Great Story/Game, Not so Great Replay Value
Alan Wake is a beautiful game, Great Story, sucks you in but generally dies down as you get closer and closer to the end of the game. This doesn't mean it has a weak story, just that game-play value decreases due to repetitiveness. And the fact that i beat it within 12 hours, with missing very few of the collectibles, a small portion to be exact and that small portion is generally only obtainable through the nightmare difficulty which you don't unlock till after you beat the game once.
1-10 Rating
Graphics-9
beautiful aside from a few characters could be better animated and move their mouths a bit better
Sound-8
loved the sound and music, only lacks in syncing voices to talking, mixes well with the game
Game-play- 8.5
great game play aside from, occasional lack of seeing enemies, other than that perfect control, atmosphere, sets the mood for a horror.
Replay value-5
same enemies, same guns, short game, repeat
Story-8.5
only get s a 8.5 because it is so short i would love to see more
overall its a great game to rent it will last you the rented period of time a few days if you take it slow, story is well worth it, but if you really wanna get into the story and see everything you could get the limited edition and what not, i plan on buying the game but only because i am a general lover of horror games and psychological thrillers. its a acquired taste to buy or not, but it will be fun for just about any shooter fan.
