The second add-on for Alan Wake finds Alan continuing his journey through the dark. It picks up where the first add-on, The Signal, left off-- here, Alan's goal is more defined. That goal is to escape the dark world any way he can. He once again has help from Thomas Zane, and he continues through the markedly psychedelic, distorted hallucination that the narrative says comes from Wake's own head.

The same weapons from the game and the first DLC are back-- the revolver, the shotgun, and the hunting rifle, along with flares. The only things missing (and they are missed) are the flare gun and the flashbangs. The imaginary things coming from Wake's head are perhaps more vivid this time around, including an imaginary tirade from Alan's wife, and imaginary psychotherapeutic sessions with Hartman, Bright Falls' psychologist. Other characters appear, including the town doctor and Barry.

The add-on is a bit on the short side, however. Something you pay for, like this, should have a bit more length. But, I'm confident that the story will continue and eventually end as awesome as it began and it is now.
