Single. Best. Soundtrack. Ever.
Then there's the music. It's mostly heavily violin-ed with some great production value. It's so soothing and beautiful that 3 of my friends and I fell asleep while on the map screen and slept the rest of the night peacefully. Once we all awoke in the morning, we all mentioned how amazing the music was and how easily we fell asleep to it.
I would love to know the name of the composer* of this soundtrack and whether he's done any other published work. If someone knows, please contact me. I have a feeling it might be Tenpei Sato, who writes the music for Nippon Ichi games.
Overall, Albert Odyssey is a very good RPG on the Saturn, and one of my favorite games.
*Fellow Gamespotter Quings clued me in to the name of the composer: Naoki Kotaka. Apparently he did the music for several other games, including Master Blaster, but they were all SNES games besides AO. And he's done nothing since. What a shame!
