By creating this game, Sega destroyed whatever chances Alex Kidd had to become a great franchise.

This game was released one year before the Sega Genesis would make its debut and honestly, it was about time. Alex Kidd's second game is nothing like his excellent first adventure. Whoever bought this crap thinking it was going to be good sequel to the adventures in miracle world was in for a world of hurt.

The graphics are colorful and sprites are big, but the flickering sprites and poor collision detection makes me wonder if they just rushed this game out the door.

Sound is also a mess. The background music is nice, for the first 30 seconds, then it starts to get on your nerves like the baby in the plane that just won't shut up.

Gameplay is basic to the bare minimum. Run from left to right, overcome obstacles and reach the end of the stage.

In the end, this game provides little or no value to the Sega Master System collection. This is one of the three games my parents purchased with my Sega Master System back in '88 and I'm not going to lie to you, but I enjoyed it since it was an easy game compared to Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Rocky (both impossibly hard). Now that I look back at this game, I can honestly say that it's a steaming pile of poo.
