Alien Syndrome is a run and gun style game created for various systems in the late 80's. This game was fairly unique at the time because it allowed you to play 2 player cooperative mode, with both players on screen simultaneously. You can play as one of the two characters, Ricky and Mary. The object of the game is to fight through the various levels, releasing hostages who were captured by aliens. There are also pick ups in the game that help you by giving you better weapons, etc. Alien Syndrome has recently been re-released for a couple newer systems, but I'm not sure if they are sequels or remakes of the same game.
