The name sounds more scary than the game turned out to be.

Alone in the Dark had a great idea with giving you the ability to combine items you pic up around the world to get through the puzzles. Although this great idea is over shadowed by a really badly put together game.

Edward seems difficult to control at first and the longer you play, the more frustrating it actually gets. He's not very responsive and tends to move a lot slower than the newer games out there, or even games that found their way on the the shelves at the same time as Alone in the Dark.

The Story is actually quite good, though I found it wasn't as difficult or scary as the name would make you think. Matter of fact, I don't think I had a fright once.

The one thing I really liked is the Re-Cap you get every time you continue the game. The other good thing is the fire engine. It's rather realistic, and being able to set anything wooden alight and use it to kill some zombie but.

The game was okay and had some good ideas and concepts, but it just fell apart and was a bit to boring and the character was to difficult to control.
