A dull story line with bad gameplay

I was highly disappointed with this game, as I am a huge fan of sci-fi shooters. This game's dialogue was so horrible, not to mention the voice acting, that sometimes I felt I was forcing myself not to push the "skip scene" button. The story kept building you up to fight some amazing alien being from the first cutscene and when you finally reach the creature, you're so bored with the easy gameplay mechanics that even the final boss seems like a chore. You should seriously play the demo version of this game before ever considering buying it.
The graphics are not at all up to par, but that does allow lower-end computers to play the game smoothly. If you haven't played any FPS game to date and are wanting to find a good, easier game to work yourself into the genre, this will be a great game. the normal difficulty level seems to resemble most games' "very easy" difficulty and the controls are easy to learn. However, do note that there are plenty of good FPS games out there, such as half-life 2 and crysis.
