This game is a classic arcade sidescroller, which was ported from the arcades onto the Sega Genesis. Then, was ported onto the Wii's Virtual Console. You start off in a graveyard, where an old man brings you back to life to have you save his duaghter, who was kidnapped by a creepy bald guy, who leads you on a chase through some odd levels. As you go through the game, you have to level up by killing these blue wolves, and once you get three "Power Ups" you transform into a beast with special powers. For instance, in the first level, you transform into a man-wolf who can shoot fireballs and do a super kick. You can not take on the boss of each level unless you are the beast. The game is not tampered with, just ported to the wii. So you still get your great Altered Beast expeiriance. But, I did have some issues with the controls. They mapped the punch bottun onto the A botton on the Wii Remote. So, in order to punch, you either have to bring your other hand off the jump and kick buttuns to hit A, or take your thumb off the control pad, which makes it very hard to kill the blue wolves that hold the power ups that are mandatory to pass the level. Unless you have the classic controller, or a Gamecube controller, I do not recommend this game. Apart from the controls, its a good game.
