Unluckily Alundra didn't recieve the amount of attention and praise it deserved and i can tell you,it deserved a lot.You assume the role of Alundra,a young man whose ability is to enter people's dream(or nightmares in most cases). After a shipwreck you find yourself stranded on a deserted beach, but a guy named Lars finds you and takes you to his village. But a lot of villagers seem to suffer from fatal nightmares. After a while you learn that behind this is a creature named Melzas.Alundra is a great zelda-style rpg with riddles(some of them are quite challenging),excellent battles and AMAZING ( I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G) music. Some tunes (especially the ones in the nightmares)will stay in your mind for a long time. The battles are often difficult ,mostly the bosses(most of which require a specific strategy).Generally the game is above the average in terms of difficulty, something that is not bad`on the contrary, you victories will be followed by a sense of reward(and "evil guy" punishment).Don't expect a myriad of weapons and spells, both are numbered but will be used to the fullest. The graphics are very good without glitches or visual "bugs",the characters are well-drawn and vivid. While there are no hi-tech FF-style FMV,some sequences are anime-like,but most of the story progress is made through the games graphic engine, something that adds to the total atmosphere. To sum up,Alundra is an excellent game and a personal favourite.I highly recommend it to any rpg-fan.The others might find it too hardcore
