This game is supposed to be a rhythm game but there is no actual connection to the songs being played. It is a rhythm game with fun background music and nothing else. Even on its hardest setting young children can beat the game with ease. The only reasons it didn't get a 1 from me are the voice actors and the playlist. While the recordings from the voice actors are cool with Jason Lee as Dave they are poor recordings. So poor you can hear better in bootleg camcorder versions of the movie. The playlist on the otherhand is what kept me playing. Loveshack, Run Around, December, All the Small Things, Karma Chameleon and so many others performed by the chipmunks are just funny and worth hearing at least once. Tubthumping was a major letdown considering they changed the lyrics to make it kid friendly but as said, the only redeaming factor is the music.
This is why it pays to rent. Beat it in a night, enjoy the music and return it the next day to be forgotten. Enjoy the music, forget the game.
