Pretty well-done adventure, but not much replay value.

User Rating: 7.5 | Amazon Trail 3rd Edition: Rainforest Adventures PC
In this educational game, you have to travel through the rainforest to meet the Inca king. You have to choose a one guide out of four, each with a different talent, and you meet many people, explore, etc. along the way to the king. You could learn many interesting things about the rainforest. It’s like you are really traveling through it- It’s quite realistic.
You have a map at the start of each river of the Amazon, and you must pilot your canoe to the end of the river, where you will run into the next guy(s). You must be cautious of your inventory, for they will affect how well your condition is throughout the game. The fun part about it is because you have total control over it. You could trade with almost anyone you meet. You could also get fish and fruit naturally thorough the Amazon. You also have a big sense of freedom, since you get to explore around and take pictures of rainforest animals (to increase your score). You could also get sick with the diseases that you could catch from the rainforest, such as bubonic plaque. You could also control what you eat, for it depends how healthy you are going to be. You also get badges on a “shield” by interacting with people the right way, which also increases your score. The ultimate goals are to get all the badges on your shield, or take pictures of all the life on the rainforest, animal or plant.
The graphics are not the best. The people you meet look real, but they look strange and foggy. The forest terrain and river goes on and on…and the same once you explore the forest. It’s the same thing over and over again.
The sound isn’t bad either. The voice acting is pretty good. There are music and sounds.
This game is a pretty well-done adventure, but it doesn’t take long to finish the game. There should be more extra things to do. There are different difficulty levels, a highscore list, and different guides, but all this game is worth is one or two adventures. This game is pretty fun, but it has mediocre replay value and graphics.
