Better than a kick in the teeth at least.
Story:5/10
You play as a "new guy" trying to get into the chopper action in various bke shows. So you go and prove yourself to others in races, as well as gather parts for 2 bikes you are creating. There are some new characters here not on the TV show. Overall, however, the story is quite tepid and you won't play this game for it.
Graphics:5/10
It looks okay, but could be so much better. The characters have lip-synching but are not textured all that well. The cars aren't all that varied in design and colour, so you'll be seeing the same motor over and over again. They often disappear, partly because the draw distance is so craptastic. The bikes are reasonably well designed, and are the graphical highlights of American Chopper. Overall, however, the graphics aren't all that good.
Gameplay:8/10
The game is like Driv3r: fall once, you fall far behind. But don't despair, it is actually much easier than it. You CAN catch up;it's fairly easy to do that. But if you fall on the final stretch, most likely you will fail. Still, it's entertaining and it feels rewarding, what with building your bike and all. You also feel like you've actually achieved something, too. It is hard, after all.
Lifespan:5/10
The chapters take a while, but when all's said and done, you won't want to do it all over again. There are a few bonus missions, but you need to gain style points to earn them, and that just feels downright tedious.
Overall, this game should provide a little enjoymont for a few days. If you see it for $10, you should get it. A bargain bin title maybe, but certainly not nearly as bad as I anticipated beforehand. A little like Greg Hasting's Tournament Paintball then, don't you think?
