You are an up and coming snowboarder who must prove yourself to the shop scouts and pro riders. Your world rank starts high and counts down each time you complete a run’s challenges: trick points, media points (tricks in specific marked locations), sponsored runs (finish the run with enough trick points), and pro runs (follow a pro boarder and beat their score). You have five stats that can be elevated by completing challenges, and equipping different gear (board, bindings, boots). The stats are spin (spin faster), balance (stay on rails longer), jump (jump higher), speed (duh), and switch (strengthen your weak side). This game is rather fun if you can overlook its single glaring error: the physics are whacked. This might not be as obvious in other games but its glaringly obvious in this game. You would expect a snowboarding game to at least get the snowboarding physics correct. I am not a pro-snowboarder by any means, not even a good one, but I know that you are not supposed to be able to board UPHILL. On most hills I could start at the bottom and return all the way to the top of the hill! The game designers apparently knew about this problem and to counter act it, you don’t get a score on any trick done higher than where it started to tell you to “go downhill!” And I am fairly certain that hitting a rail perpendicularly at 30km/h wouldn’t normally let you do a 90 degree turn and proceed to ride the rail. Also, pressing the rail button at random times on smooth hills results in some pretty funny effects. This game had a lot of potential because the controls are good, each one assigned to a rather simple action so that multiple tricks can be strung together easily. You can still enjoy this game by simply avoiding the circumstances that cause the problems. But paying 50$ for a game like this is ridiculous. A renter at best. + Variation in races + Controls allow you to string multiple tricks together easily + Wipe outs can be fun(ny) - Terrible physics
