Like a fine wine. It gets a whole lot better the more you play it!

So, you wanna know what Amped is all about? Let me tell ya….Amped is like a very fine wine. It gets a whole lot better as time goes by! What do I mean by this? Well, when I first started playing it I picked the Quick Start option in the menu like most people do. This gives you just a few basic courses so you can get used to the controls. After about half an hour, I didn’t think too much of the game. In fact, I didn’t like it. The courses were way to short and I couldn’t pull off a trick if my life depended on it. I then started the career mode and played for another 45 minutes. All of a sudden I was pulling off amazing tricks and moving to different slopes. The need to break my previous score became addicting. I was hooked. This was definitely a game I needed to investigate further. Amped is not your typical snowboarding game. It’s not about getting to the bottom of the course in the fastest time or racing against other people in an “arcadish” type of way. Amped is geared towards freestyle snowboarding and the style and artistry that it represents. Cruising down a mountain side, looking for obstacles to challenge, and taking them head on with ease giving you bragging rights of “king of the mountain”! I think that in some regards it could even be considered a simulation. Gameplay: In amped you have your basic gameplay types; Quick Start Career and Multiplayer. In career you get to create your own custom boarder. You get to pick his/her hat, coat board, bindings and so on. When you complete things like media challenges or getting high scores you get attribut points. The game offers a fair amount tricks and stuff like that. Graphics: Amped has good graphics but not incredible and it has some graphic disorders such as getting stuck in grind rails. Over all the game has some nice visuals and a steady frame rate. Sound: Amazing. All the things the other boarders yell at you and the music is great plus the addition of te custom soundtracks. Flawless audio. A great snowboarding game that is fun and you can pick up and play anytime.
