It's still a great Xbox launch title, but the 3rd one, a 360 launch title, can be a bit more realistic.

User Rating: 8.5 | Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding XBOX
Snowboarding is a great alternative sport, even if you like to play games, and there are games to the sport that can't get much better than Amped and SSX, and Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding can be one of these.

Amped has a good intro, boards, riders, Xbox game demos and options.

The gameplay is also looking good, and the controls are awesome. The mountains are really big, but a bit small in the big, but if you do good in those mountains, you unlock all the bigger ones.

Released on the Xbox launch in 2001, Amped has you focus on the tricks, instead of you racing with others in the game that was included in the SSX series by EA until that series was stopped in 2007. Amped was followed by 2003's Amped 2 for the Xbox and 2005's Amped 3 for the Xbox 360 as a launch title for the console. Amped 2 was the only game in the series to feature online play, as well as the last game by Microsoft before Indie Built, developers of the series was sold to 2K Sports in Fall 2004 for Amped 3.

Most aspects of the game are good, like the graphics, level design, and pro riders. Whenever you pick up the series' games, you should also pick up SSX.
