This game is more fun than you think!
At first, I thought this game was going to be dumb, I mean, it sure did look dumb. So I decided to rent it, just for laughs.
It was actually pretty fun. Although slow to start, once you get the hang of it, acquire the actual map, and finish your "chores" it starts to get fun.
I will not be doing a "the good, the bad" section, since I have long forgotten all the traits that made this game, so this will be a short review, of what I remember.
I don't even know how I did it. You just go around talking to people, doing errands which leads you to talking to more people, collecting bugs, fish, fossils, selling them or keeping them. You can buy things to put in your house to make it look good. After my first game's save was corrupted, I decided to cheat and use the money cheat, and got loads of money, so I upgraded my house to the max, and bought a lot of different stuff.
It's pretty good once your house actually gets bigger because then you can arrange things in your house.
There are also these "events" that you can participate in, which is always somewhat fun. The holidays like: Christmas, 4th of July, New Years day, Thanksgiving, ect.
And the envioment changes are great, the winter occasionally has snow, the fall had leaves everywhere, the spring and summer had weeds, it was very cool at the time.
But after a few weeks, or months of playing it, you just get bored of it. So it's a good game to play while the fun lasts.
I'm deeply sorry that this wasn't the best review, but I could not replay it, and give a more in depth review, for my GameCube have been broken.
But I hope this is enough for you to get the general opinion of the game from a gamer.
