Ape Escape 3 could've used a little re-polishing, but it's enjoyable gameplay almost completely makes up for all of it.

Ape Escape 3 could've used a little re-polishing, but it's enjoyable gameplay almost completely makes up for these quirks. The game's main downfalls mentioned is the horrendous camera control and attacks. From the first level, it's immediately noticeable when you capture your first monkey. It's game all in its own to capture the creatures.... However, with 400 monkeys populating the different worlds, it has a lot of gameplay and value. The graphics, on the other hand, aren't the best, but the colorful visuals are astounding, reminding very much of my playthrough of Super Mario Sunshine. The background music is enjoyable as well. Any fan of platformers will find an enjoyable experience in this if he or she can overcome the terrible controls.
