Catching rapid monkies?! This is too good to be true!

Ape Escape was recommended by one of my best friends. So, I bought it and played it right when I got home. I discovered a wacky storyline with the most memorable characters, like Specter and Spike. Well, the storyline is is that a moneky named Specter finds a brain-altering helmet and puts it on and suddenly, becomes evil. His plan: Rid the world of humans and let monkies conquer. You play as Spike, a boy with a Stun club, an electric net, and a hobby for catching evil monkies. The only thing I didn't like was that when the game first came out, it was for the duelshock controller and that wasn't on everyone's game list so that when they bought this game, they couldn't play it because they need this certain controller. Without that, that game's graphics are good for its time, not the best, but good. The gameplay is simple and the voice acting is professionally done. To make this game perfect, is the ability to find and capture monkies, stealthly or running out with the Amazon war cry with a net over your head. This game is good, but it can really get boring after about 5 levels. Yet, catching evil apes is a original and excellent idea for a game. Too bad the sequel didn't do as good.
