When I first heard of Ape Quest, I thought it would be a blast. I downloaded it from the Playstation Store, and what do you know, it was different from every RPG out there. The game is very funny, with the pipo apes we know and love in a fantastical role. The way that you move across the world maps is one of the charms of the game. Instead of just holding down a movement button, all you have to do is choose your path with the directional buttons or the nub, and press forward to go in that direction. Randomly in transit, there will be random encounters. These battles are your average RPG battles, with the turn based fights, and the summons. Whats interesting is how there are minigames tied into the game. Just like random encounters, the game has random minigames, While you are traveling, you will get a message like " oh know you have to go to the bathroom" or "You have been ambushed" then the game goes into a minigame. The minigames are pretty fun too. This game is really fun, and for $20, its a good deal too.
