Aside the low profile voice acting, Arc Rise Fantasia will attract almost any RPG fan for the Wii!

After playing Arc Rise Fantasia for the first hour or so, you will notice right away:

1. The Voice Acting Is TERRIBLE!
2. The Battle System Is Pretty Great!
3. It's A Challenge And Strategic

Oh and 4. The Music Is AMAZING Compared To The Voices!

Now, yes...there is a disable voice option in the game. But I actually didn't disable it. I thought I would play through the entire game to see how it would fit. I did notice however, that the voice acting does improve more as the game goes on. The characters get more enthused in tough situations better than in the beginning. BUT! Enough of the voice chatter! Let me tell you the good of Arc Rise!

The story line of the game is actually really decent! I played through the entire game like I said and there is a bunch of interesting turning points! I won't give much away but for instance, you get people in your party, and out of no where, some people you thought were on your side will disban your party and join the enemy side! It will happen quite a few times throughout the game. But the great thing is that is one member leaves, you'll most likely gain a new member with the same weapon class as your last character.

Another good side for the game is the battle system on weapons! I absolutely love the syncing feature for the battle system. Makes tough situations come to an ease. Plus you can combine skills to make it more powerful. And I also mentioned the weapon system. It's not like a normal RPG. For instance a weapon in most RPGs would increase that class of characters attributes. Like Wooden Sword giving you +1 attack. Iron sword giving you +3 attack. Well in Arc Rise, there really is no "Best Weapon" you make the best weapon. That's what I found fun. You go through battles getting WP (Weapon Points aside from EXP) for your weapons to help unlock special abilities. Not only that, but some of the weapons abilities can be transferred over to another weapon! Or even to another characters' weapon! =O It may sound confusing, but once you play, you'll know that it gets addicting. And another plus is that the weapon designs are absolutely fantastic! I was really surprised by the layout! The skills you unlock for each character are also a plus!

My last good concept of Arc Rise is it's difficulty for the battle system. It reminds me of playing old style RPGs like Final Fantasy or Phantasy Star. Fighting normal battles are simple or can be simple. But when it comes to a boss fight, it requires LOTS of strategy and knowing what skills and attacks to use for certain outcomes. And it's the type where if you can't beat a boss, just find a place to level then go back and you'll sure to possible win =)

Well now you may get a better idea how great Arc Rise Fantasia is of a game rather than looking at the voice acting. I kind of think that's why they added the option to turn off the voices O.o They knew all along...tisk tisk. But anyways, here's my overview!
