Story (8/10)
Arc The Lad II continues right where Arc The Lad left off. The game even gives you the option of transferring an Arc The Lad save, which allows you to use your characters you finished Arc The Lad with.
Arc and his companions (both old and new) are still trying to stop Andel from releasing the Dark Lord. Arc and the old companions are now outlaws. The new characters, mainly Elc and Lieza, are learning of Andel's lies.
Unfortunately, as the game progresses, the storyline worsens and becomes less interesting. Later battles are so long-winded that the story disappears.
Gameplay (7/10)
The battling system hasn't changed at all.
The Hunter's Guild is a new feature that spices up the game just a bit. You can earn money by doing these sidequests, but you won't gain much through the storyline.
Graphics (8/10)
The graphics have improved noticeably. Cutscenes are still impressive, but not numerous.
Durability (9/10)
Holy cow, this game goes on forever. This is one of the longest storylines I have ever played. Just when you think you're closing in on a finishing point, a new enemy appears.
